Biography

Taylor is a small animal surgery resident at Colorado State University. She received her undergraduate degree in finance from Baylor University in 2016, followed by her veterinary degree from Texas A&M University in 2020. After graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Colorado State University and then matched to stay at CSU for her small animal surgery residency. Taylor loves playing tennis, traveling, snow skiing, spending time with her family, and walking her two dogs, Charlie and Leo.

Biography

Dr. Margaret ("Gretta") Chu is a small animal surgery resident at Colorado State University. She received her undergraduate degree from Duke University followed by her veterinary degree from Cornell University. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ and then surgical internship at VCA Alta Vista Animal Hospital in Ottawa, ON, Canada.

Biography

Dr. Jessica Forbes is a small animal surgery resident at Colorado State University. She received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University in South Carolina followed by her veterinary degree from the University of Georgia. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Atlanta, GA, and then a surgical internship at VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital in Hollywood, FL.

Clara Goh

Biography

Clara earned her veterinary degree at Sydney University, Australia. She completed her post-graduate specialty training (rotating internship, surgical residency, and surgical oncology fellowship) at Colorado State University, where she currently holds a faculty position in small animal orthopedic surgery. Her clinical and research interests include cruciate disease, hip dysplasia, and minimally invasive techniques (arthroscopy and fracture stabilization). Clara has devoted her professional career to student, resident, and DVM training and has been an invited speaker and instructor at numerous conferences and surgical labs throughout the U.S.

Biography

Diane received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University followed by her veterinary degree from Colorado State University. After graduation, she then completed a rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania. She has now returned to CSU for her small animal surgery residency.

Colin Taylor

Biography

Colin graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan, Canada in 2015. He then worked as a small animal practitioner in New Zealand, an orangutan veterinarian in Borneo and an ER veterinarian in Ottawa, Canada before returning to academia to pursue his dream of becoming a board-certified small animal surgeon. Colin then completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Rotating internship at Texas A&M University before joining the team at CSU as a Small Animal Surgery Resident. Colin loves hockey, golf, scuba diving and the outdoors, and looks forward to travelling the world as a small animal surgeon.

Biography

Shawn received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wyoming followed by her AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician training from the Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology, and is certified by the State of Colorado as a CVT. She has worked in general practice, emergency practice and private surgical specialty practice before coming to the CSU orthopedic surgery department. Shawn has also completed training from CRI as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurse and has completed training for her Fear Free Certification.

Biography

Hannah is from Chicago, Illinois. She has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 2016 and has been working at CSU for the past 2 years. When she is not at work, she loves hiking with her two dogs Clay and Richard. She also enjoys volunteering with wildlife. Her most recent trip was to South Africa in 2018 to help orphaned rhinos. Animals are her passion and she is excited to meet all of your pets that come through the orthopedic department!

Chris Wood

Biography

Chris graduated from the University of Melbourne with distinction. During his studies, he completed externships at Colorado State University and the University of California, Davis, as well as attend the International Symposium on Wildlife Utilization in South Africa. After graduation, he completed a small animal rotating internship in Australia, followed by an extended small animal surgical internship in Canada. In Canada, Chris met the love of his life, Hana, a beautiful little black and white American Pitbull Terrier rescue. Hana also came with his girlfriend, Taylor.
